The Vocal Voyagers program is a new curriculum designed by a doctorate level vocal educator with bilingual instruction in both Chinese and English. It is rooted in the multicultural soil of New York and is designed to create an immersive vocal program designed for children aged 3 -8 to explore the world’s diverse culture and languages through singing. This program blends renowned methodologies of singing, articulation, performance psychology to develop young kids’ unique voices, and gain the confidence to express themselves on any stage—musical or beyond. It's a transformative experience where children develop emotional intelligence, empathetic, communication skills, leadership, and critical thinking through music.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• 🎵 Exploring Songs in Multiple Languages – A Global Singing Adventure
Children will master songs in English, Mandarin, French, Italian, German, and study basic International Phonetic Alphabet, enhancing pronunciation, language interests, and musical phrasing. This unique experience of singing in different languages fosters cultural appreciation and global awareness.
• 🎶 Solfège & Ear Training – Training the Musical Ear
Through fun hand signs, engaging singing games, and interactive listening exercises, children develop pitchaccuracy, musical memory, and a strong sense of musical intuition.
• 💨 Breath Control & Vocal Power (Bel Canto Basics) – Building Inner Strength
Children will learn deep breathing techniques and beautiful voices produced through visualization tools, andboost their confidence to sing and speak with clarity in both music and daily life.
• 🎼 Music Notation & Sight-Singing – Building Musical Confidence
Early sight-reading is introduced through movement-based rhythm exercises, helping children developinstincts, coordination, self-awareness, and a fearless approach to musical challenges.
• 🎭 Storytelling Through Song – Expressing Emotions with Confidence
Through lyric interpretation, expressive movement, and storytelling, children connect deeply with music,fostering empathy, emotional intelligence, and a lifelong love for musical expression.

Dr. Nini Qiao is a music educator with over 12 years of experience teaching both children and adults. Dr. Qiao specializes in music education, voice performance, andsinging health, especially for the articulation of young learners. Dr. Qiao holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Ohio State University, a Master of Music from The New School – Mannes School of Music, and a Bachelor's in Music Education from Nanjing Normal University and National Taiwan Normal University.
