Math STEM Explore Class

The Math STEM Explore Class helps young learners develop early mathematical thinking through hands-on exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Designed for children ages 3–6, this program combines mathematics with science, engineering, art, and play to build confidence and curiosity while preparing children for future academic success. At this age, children are naturally curious about the world around them. Through building, experimenting, designing, and investigating, children learn that math is not just numbers on a page—it is a tool for understanding, creating, and solving problems. From counting and adding to measuring, designing structures, and exploring patterns, children strengthen their logical thinking and develop essential skills for private school readiness.

Mandarin Math Explorers-中文奥数

Through age-appropriate games, stories, hands-on activities, and interactive exercises, children will build early math skills while developing their Mandarin vocabulary. Children will explore numbers, counting, basic addition and subtraction, patterns, shapes, problem-solving, and early multiplication concepts, including an introduction to the 九九乘法表 for older children.The class is designed to make math enjoyable and accessible while strengthening both Mandarin language skills and early mathematical thinking.

Course Highlights

• Build Strong Math Foundations

Children will explore early math concepts including number recognition, counting, comparingquantities, addition, subtraction, patterns, shapes, measurement, and problem-solving. Throughhands-on activities and games, children will develop number sense and confidence inmathematical thinking.

• Explore Math Through STEM Challenges

Children will think like young scientists and engineers by observing, predicting, designing,testing, and improving their ideas. Through building challenges, experiments, and creativeproblem-solving activities, children will apply math concepts to real-world situations.

• Develop Early Addition & Subtraction Skills

Children will learn the meaning behind numbers by exploring addition as “putting together” and subtraction as “taking away.” Through storytelling, manipulatives, games, and everyday scenarios, children will practice solving simple math problems in a fun and meaningful way.

• Create Through STEAM Learning

Art and creativity are integrated into math exploration. Children will create patterns, shapedesigns, structures, and visual representations while learning about geometry, symmetry,measurement, and spatial relationships.

• Grow as Young Problem Solvers

By engaging in collaborative challenges, children will learn how to ask questions, explain their thinking, make predictions, and find different solutions. These experiences support critical thinking, communication skills, and independence needed for future academic learning.
