Associate Teacher
Bella Tabellione joins the HGL team this fall as an Assistant Teacher. Bella graduated from the University of New Hampshire in the spring of 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in child development, as well as a minor in Psychology.
Through her education and involvement in several different preschool programs, Bella has developed a child-centered teaching philosophy that focuses on the needs and interests of the child. She uses her experience in Montessori and Reggio-Emilia inspired programs to inform her teaching style, which puts emphasis on using the environment as another teacher, and following children's curiosity to develop lessons. By using this philosophy, she aims to support the children and the Lead Teacher in art-based classroom activities that promote age-appropriate learning experiences.
Bella has worked with children in many different roles including as a classroom intern, summer counselor, infant caregiver, and substitute teacher. She is looking forward to joining the HGL team to work with children in a new and creative way! Bella is a person who is passionate about helping children grow as well as art, and she sees this school as the perfect opportunity to combine her main interests to do something she loves. The unique space and art-based education are two things that stood out to her about HGL, as well as the multilingual component of the school. She aspires to use her experience from UNH and HGL Art to eventually pursue her Master's degree in Art Therapy. In her free time, Bella enjoys creating multimedia art, cooking, and upcycling clothing! Bella is very passionate about working with children, and looks forward to fostering creativity in the classroom!
